PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binocular stereo microscope by which a stereoscopic image is always stably obtained. SOLUTION: A pupil division mechanism 200 is fixed in a lens barrel main body 112 through fixing parts 201a and 201b. Shafts 202a and 202b are fit in the fixing parts 201a and 201b. A motor base 203a is fixed on the shafts 202a and 202b, and rack bases 204a and 204b are fit to slide on the shafts 202a and 202b. A motor 205a is fixed on the motor base 203a through a support 216. A gear 206a is attached to the motor shaft of the motor 205a. The racks 207a and 207b are respectively fixed on the rack bases 204a and 204b. Furthermore, motor bases 203b and 203c to which motors 205b and 205c are attached are fixed on the rack bases 204a and 204b.
