PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly efficiently suppress aldehyde odor and surely collect aldehydes without impairing the characteristics of resin even if mixing it with polyacetal resin and the like. SOLUTION: This deodorant is composed of phosphorus compound having active hydrogen atoms. This deodorant is useful for efficiently deodorizing the aldehyde odor. This deodorant can be used by being combined with auxiliary deodorizing agent (basic-nitrogen-containing compounds, weak acid or its metal salt, metal compounds, alcohols, polyphenols and adsorbent inorganic compounds) or combined with resin to be formed into a resin composition. The resin composition may include oxidation inhibitor, heat-resistant stabilizer, working stabilizer, weatherproof (light-resistant) stabilizer, gloss control agent, sliding property improving agent, colorant and filler.
