PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate improper reinforcement specification and low reliability from an optical fiber coupler. SOLUTION: In the optical fiber coupler, the coated optical fiber part of a plurality of optical fibers with a coating removed are welded, drawn and fixedly stuck to a substrate at both ends of the coated optical fiber part. The welding starting point of the optical fibers at both ends of the welded and drawn region is coated by joining in a state of noncontact with the substrate using ultrasonic soldering composed of 30-35 wt% Pb, 50-60 wt% Sn, and 1-8 wt% each Zn, Sb, Al, Ti, Si and Cu.
