<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation apparatus which can be used only within a period preliminarily set about an option function. <P>SOLUTION: A key device is provided with a validity term monitoring means for monitoring whether or not a validity term has expired for each option function, and for, when the term of validity has expired, erasing an option function code corresponding to the option function whose validity term has expired among option function codes stored in an option function information storing means.
