PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of readily acquiring image data, and an image forming system.

SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus 2 comprises a communication section 29 for receiving an electronic mail having image data attached thereto through a network N and a control section 21 for allowing a display section 27 to display an image according to the image data attached to the electronic mail received by the communication section 29.
