PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder cartridge device for a dialysis machine, facilitating handling and preventing contamination in the periphery of the dialysis machine. SOLUTION: The powder cartridge for the dialysis machine includes: an externally threaded neck 21; a screw cap 26 fitted to the neck and having an end wall; a valve 40 which is a normally closed valve in the screw cap and adjusted to an open position at insertion of the powder cartridge into the dialysis machine; a means provided on the end wall 28 and the neck to engage with each other when the screw cap is screwed on the neck, thereby preventing unscrewing of the screw cap from the neck; and a breakage type connecting part between the end wall and part of the screw cap to allow unscrewing of the cap only under breaking of the breakage type connection 29 to separate the end wall from the screw cap.
