PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a faucet, easy in post-installation, without impairing appearance and deteriorating operability, when adding and installing a water treatment device such as a water purifier. SOLUTION: This faucet has a faucet body 24 connected to a water supply pipe 30 from a water supply source, a delivery part 26 for delivering raw water supplied to the faucet body 24 from the water supply pipe 30, and a hot water-water mixing valve part 27 for controlling delivery of the raw water from the delivery part 26. An adapter 41 is fitted to the base part outer periphery of the faucet body 24, and an installation part 42 is arranged in its adapter 41. An operation mechanism 43 branching off from the water supply pipe 30 and operating a water cut-off valve 39 connected in clean water supply pipes 37a and 37b reaching the faucet body 24 via the water purifier 38, is detachably installed in the installation part 42.
