PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fastener for a building having nail hole cut-off performance capable of solving such a problem as for a nail hole cut-off function held in a moisture transmission waterproof paper by a simple method and means coating a material with swelling property having at least a part of the fastener such as a nail or the like. SOLUTION: It is so characterized that, for example, the periphery of the head section of the nail, a part up to a spiral unevenness section (a non-slip line) on the upper part of a nail body section from the periphery of the head section of the nail and the nail head section or the periphery of a penetrating section coming into contact with at least the moisture transmission waterproof paper are coated with a substance having swelling property like at least a needle (core) inside part (part coming into contact with the moisture transmission waterproof paper).
