PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid detergent showing a low corrosiveness and a high detergency. SOLUTION: The solid detergency wherein the dispersibility and solubility of a polycarboxylic acid or a polycarboxylate in water is increased is provided by using a weakly alkaline carbonate and/or hydrogencarbonate instead of a strong alkaline inorganic compound, adjusting the pH to around neutral by adding the polycarboxylic acid and/or polycarboxylates, and adding a thickener.
