PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an installation tool for an elevator and an installation method for the elevator for protecting elevator equipment from spark and fire ball generated when fixing a rail bracket by welding. SOLUTION: This installation tool for the elevator is provided with the rail bracket fixed to a fixing body in a shaft of the elevator to support a guide rail 1 or a hooking device provided in the fixing body in the shaft and a fireproof sheet 8 hooked in the hooking device and provided below the rail bracket to be welded and fixed when fixing the rail bracket by welding.
