Lid (1) for sealing porcelain bowls for storing and transporting foods and beverages comprises a circular rim (2) that presses against the upper edge of the bowl and a circular seal (3) that presses against the inside of the bowl. The seal has an L-shaped lip (4) with a vertical part (5) made of hard plastic and a horizontal part (6) made of soft plastic. An independent claim is also included for an confinement system comprising a bowl and a lid as above.
