<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to browse a plurality of document images obtained in eye-friendly character size at different resolutions by scanning the images respectively. <P>SOLUTION: An image processor comprises a storage part 12 for storing the document images, a layout analysis part 13 for extracting configuration elements configuring the document images by reading the document images by the storage part 12, a geometric information estimation part 14 for estimating the language and size of characters included in the configuration elements on the basis of obtained layout information as layout analysis result, and an image processing part 16 for outputting images displayed on a screen to an image display part 17 by referring the language of the characters included in the images of an conversion object, the language corresponding to proper conversion character size at each character type, and a character kind/character size table, and the language of an estimated character, the language on the basis of size, and a character type/character size table and contracting or enlarging those images. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
