<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the convenience of a remote control device for a hot water supply apparatus displaying character information. <P>SOLUTION: A bath remote control device 1 equipped with a teletext receiving section and a memory for storing received character information, has a plurality of mutually different broadcast providing mode operation parts for providing received teletext. A broadcast switch 37 is turned on, and a selector switch 29 is operated to select the operation of one operation part out of the plurality of broadcast providing mode operation parts. Further, the channel and program of character information are selected and set to display character information on a display screen 32.
