PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porphyrin compound which can form from its solution a semiconductor film realizing good intermolecular carrier movement and its manufacturing method, an organic semiconductor film and its manufacturing method, and a semiconductor device and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The porphyrin compound represented by general formula [I] or [II] is synthesized by a reaction of pyrrole with an aldehyde: RBCHO and an oligothiophene carbaldehyde represented by general formula [IV] or by other reactions. The solution of the compound dissolved in a polar solvent is mixed with a non-polar or low-polar solvent. The resultant mixture is applied and subsequently the solvents are vaporized to form the organic semiconductor film. In general formulae [I], [II] and [IV], R1-R8are the same or different and are each a 1-10C alkyl group; a-f are the same or different and are each an integer of 1-6; M is a metal ion; RAis a 1-10C substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group; and n is an integer of 1-6.
