PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve holding power of seedlings by planting tines, to increase durability of planting tines and to reduce the frequency of exchange of planting tines required by abrasions of the tips of planting tines. SOLUTION: In the planting apparatus 5 of a rice transplanter 1 equipped with a planting mechanism 10 having planting tines 36 attached to planting tine cases 35, the planting tines 36 have U-shaped constitutions on a cross section view, the tip parts of the planting tines 36 are two-forked in parallel to form sharp shapes and the vicinities of the two-forked parts 52a are made to have the largest widths on the side view.
