Weighing system for a sample holder, has a magazine (4) for holding several sample holders (2) and at least a weighing arrangement (3) which can be selectively brought into contact with at least one the sample holders by a movement relative to the magazine. Once brought into contact the weight of the sample holder, and any sample contained within it, can be measured by the weighing arrangement. The invention also relates to a sample changing system, a device for handling sample material and a method for weighing samples held in a magazine.
