<p>The lock assembly for a manhole cover has a housing (1) with a locking plate (7) which has a bolt (14) and which slides axially of and is rotationally fixed to the housing. The locking plate is biased upwardly against a stop (6) by a stack of spring washers (8). The locking bolt has an axial locking section (22) with an outer contour which non-rotationally engages in an opening in the locking plate. In the lower position of the locking plate, it releases the bolt to allow the latter to rotate.</p> |
