A scraper system for a machine for the production and/or processing of sheet material, especially fibrous sheet, in which the scraper blade is advanced towards the roller surface in a direction which is at least partly parallel to the direction of wear. A scraper system (1) for a machine for the production and/or further processing of sheet material, especially fibrous sheet (I), with a scraper blade (3) which can be brought into tribological contact with a roller surface (4), undergoes wear in an abrasion direction (5) and can be advanced towards the roller surface to maintain contact. In this system, the blade is advanced in a direction which is at least partly parallel to the direction of wear (5).
