<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for detecting easily the combination state between existence of a voltage applied to equipment such as a space heater and existence of a flowing current. <P>SOLUTION: This detection device capable of detecting the existence of a current and a voltage on a prescribed circuit comprises a current detection part having a current detection solenoid and a movable core for current detection moved by being excited thereby; and voltage detection part having a voltage detection solenoid and a movable core for voltage detection moved by being excited thereby. The detection device has characteristics wherein the movable core for voltage detection and the movable core for current detection are connected mutually on the same axis, and are equipped respectively with an energizing member energizing in the reverse direction to the moving direction by excitation.
