<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cell-analyzing and separating device using a chip which uses passages formed on a substrate, is inexpensive for separating cells, and can be replaced for each sample. <P>SOLUTION: This cell-measuring and separating chip is characterized by disposing the first passage for flowing down a cell-containing buffer solution, the second and third passages which put the first passage therebetween and make to flow down a cell-free buffer solution from both the sides of the first passage, the fourth passage for joining the buffer solution of the first passage and the buffer solution of the second and third passages to flow down the buffer solutions as a flow, and a cell detection region for detecting cells flowed down together with the buffer solutions and a cell separation region for separating the cells in response to the detected cells in the fourth passage, in a cascade, disposing two passages for flowing down the separated cells in the downstream of the cell separation region, supplying the buffer solutions flowed down in the fourth passage from the first passage from a reservoir having a common solution level position, and having a structure that the widths or cross sections of the first passage and the fourth passage are substantially equal to each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
