<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a food packaging bag for microwave oven, which is capable of quickly releasing steam filled in the packaging bag without processing the packaging bag in any way other than setting the packaging bag in a microwave oven with a back seal portion directed upward, and improved in impact resistance a packaging bag obtained by sealing and packing a food with seasoning in a soft film bag. <P>SOLUTION: According to the packaging bag for the microwave oven, an opening seal portion 2a is formed on the packaging bag in such a way that the seal portion 2a is sandwiched between non-sealed areas 2b, 2b, one of which is formed to extend from the outer end to the inner end of the back seal portion 2, and the other of which is formed to extend from the inner end to the outer end of the back seal portion 2, where each non-sealed area 2b, 2b is formed in a part of the back seal portion 2. The packaging bag is provided with side seal portions 5 along both side ends that are parallel with the back seal portion 2.
