<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor for controlling a printer object, capable of selectively adopting only a required printer, discriminating a printer arranged at a place where a user normally exists from another printer which is not arranged at the place, so as to generate the required printer object, and capable of preventing the useless adoption of the printer. <P>SOLUTION: A present segment is determined based on a self IP address, etc. A connection history to the segment is held as segment information 500 and compared with the present segment. When the segment is not the same one and is determined to be the changed one, the printer 5 in the present segment is retrieved and selected, to instruct to generate the printer object 200 corresponding to the selected printer.
