<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cap 10 capable of enhancing the operability and sealability while the position of an operation unit 42 is constant when tightening of an inlet FNb is completed. <P>SOLUTION: A male thread part 21 is formed on the outer peripheral part of a cap body 20, and a female thread part FNc is formed on an inner wall of a filler neck FN. By turning the operation portion 42 in the closing direction, the male thread part 21 is screwed from a starting end FNc1 of the female thread part FNc, and a stopper 21d of the male thread part 21 abuts on the starting end FNc1 of the female thread part FNc to complete the tightening. A gasket GS is compressed and displaced in the axial direction, and sealed with the seal bearing pressure of the predetermined value or higher. A restriction part 21e to narrow a gap between the male thread part 21 and the female thread part FNc is provided on the opposite side of the stopper 21d of the cap body 20 to suppress the force tilting toward the cap body 20 when the stopper 21d rides over the starting end 21c of the male thread part 21. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
