PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiving apparatus, receiving method, and integrated circuit for the receiving apparatus in which an antenna is controlled to maintain optimal reception quality even while noise occurs in the same band as a receiving band. SOLUTION: A receiving apparatus 100 comprises: an antenna 31; an auxiliary antenna 32 disposed in the neighborhood of the antenna 31; a tuner circuit 11 for amplifying a received signal, a demodulator 200 for demodulating the received signal amplified by the tuner circuit 11; a reception quality detection circuit 26 for detecting the reception quality of the received signal demodulated by the demodulator 200; and an antenna control circuit 27 for changing the reception characteristic of the antenna 31 by switching a voltage to be applied to the auxiliary antenna 32, based on the reception quality detected by the reception quality detection circuit 26. The voltage to be applied to the auxiliary antenna 32 is switched by the antenna control circuit 27 in accordance with a change in the reception quality of the received signal, so that the reception characteristic of the antenna 31 is changed and a reception status of radio waves is changed.
