PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface-mounting component capable of preventing the occurrence of crack by permitting the improvement of strength of a solder connecting part with respect to the projecting direction of a lead terminal, and capable of easily ensuring the soldering without spending time and effort, and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: A formed body 1 is a bobbin for incorporating a line material and a core material and is formed of a resin material so as to have a thin belt type configuration. Lead terminals 2,... are sealed integrally under a condition that they are projected out of both ends of the short side of the same. Respective lead terminals are worked by bending so as to have the configuration of a crank and are constituted so as to be soldered while contacting the contacting surface of tip end with the land pattern of a substrate. The lead terminal is provided at one or both sides of the tip end thereof with a projected part 3 hanging while being intersected with the projecting direction of the lead terminal. Upon manufacturing, the lead terminals are formed on the lead frame in a configuration that a plurality of lead terminals are arrayed in a predetermined form while the formed body is formed at a given position of the lead frame and cutting or forming is applied to the outer lead thereof to separate the formed body into respective unit bodies.
