PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk drive recording method by which the integrity of videotaped data is maintained by long continuous writing using multi-optical disk drives, and data can be classified based on different characteristics of data and written into different optical disks respectively. SOLUTION: The disk drive recording method includes following procedures. AV signals are inputted in an optical disk drive, transmitted further to a display unit to display AV data of this signal, and made as bases for the determination of writing. The multi-optical disk drive is formed with a plurality of prearranged storage areas, and the selection of either a longtime-writing mode or a sorting-writing mode is made available. When the longtime-writing mode is selected, prearranged storage areas are automatically switched according to the sequence to perform continuous writing, and when the sorting-writing mode is selected, writing to the selected prearranged storage area is performed.
