PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disc brake capable of preventing misalignment of an outside shim plate and an inside shim plate. SOLUTION: A claw part 20 of an inside shim plate inner peripheral side of the inside shim plate 16 and a claw part 25 of an outside shim plate inner peripheral side of the outside shim plate 17 has projecting parts 22, 26 of the inside shim plate and the outside shim plate which project in an opposite direction of a back plate 13 from respective flat plate parts 16A, 17A. In the case that a force from the flat plate 17A to the claw part 25 of the outside shim plate inner peripheral side acts on the outside shim plate 17 in accordance with vibration generated by braking and its canceling action and the like, the inside shim plate projection part 22 receives the force and supports it. Hence, the outside shim plate 17 is inhibited from its movement by the inside shim plate projecting part 22 and thus misalignment of the outside shim plate 17 and the inside shim plate 16 can be inhibited.
