PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording head configuration whereby a recording element characteristic change due to a minute temperature change is corrected without the number of terminals of a recording head increased, and to provide a control sequence of a recorder. SOLUTION: Means are set which individually carry out heating control of a plurality of sub heaters on the recording head. Control information which controls these is configured to be suitably updated with reference to a temperature sensor set at a recording head element substrate and recording image information of the recording head. Moreover, because of the configuration whereby the recorder is made to steadily apply a sequence for individually controlling the heating means from a control part of the recorder to the recording head, highly precise temperature-regulated control recording is achieved while sticking to the conventional recording head circuit configuration.
