PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum die casting method and a vacuum die casting machine where a sound cast product into which the air is hardly involved can be cast with high reliability. SOLUTION: One or more annular sealing materials 8 brought into slidable contact with the inner circumferential face of an injection sleeve 3 are mounted. The internal space B of the injection sleeve 3 in the range from the one or more annular sealing materials 8 to the cavity of a die is airtightly sealed. A hole 10 for monitoring sealing conditions is formed on the side of the cavity to the one or more annular sealing materials. A passage 12 of allowing the hole for monitoring sealing conditions to communicate with a sealing condition measuring instrument 11 installed at the outside is formed at the inside or side faces of a plunger rod. The sealing condition measuring instrument is connected to the passage, and the change of pressure in the internal space of the injection sleeve in the range from the one or more annular sealing materials to the cavity of the die is measured, thus the sealing performance of the one or more annular sealing materials is detected.
