PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lock structure which can correspond with the right and left ease-of-use with one product without considering the right and left ease-of-use even in the case of a crime-prevention thumb-turn having a large number of parts. SOLUTION: The lock structure is provided with a lock box 1, a thumb-turn unit 3, a means 5 of regulating rotation, and an energizing means 7. The lock box 1 has a rotation input part which can be freely rotated with a certain angle, and a dead bolt is projected at one rotation end of the rotation input part. Then the dead bolt is pulled inwardly by the other rotation end of the rotation input part. A knob 23 is provided with flexible rotation with respect to a thumb-turn cylinder 27 by pushing down a button 25. The thumb-turn unit 3 has continuous protrusions which are rotated in synchronization with the knob 23, which are arranged close to the lock box 1 in the axial direction, thus which are engaged with the rotation input part at certain angles. Then the means 5 of regulating rotation irrotationally provided between the lock box 1 and the thumb-turn unit 3 engages the lock box 1 with the thumb-turn unit 3 at certain angles which are closely arranged in the axial direction so that the lock box 1 and the thumb-turn unit 3 cannot perform relative rotation. Then the energizing means 7 energizes the lock box 1 and the thumb-turn unit 3 so that the lock box 1 and the thumb-turn unit 3 are brought closer in the axial direction. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
