PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guard fence which reduces construction costs by simplifying construction work and minimizing connecting fittings to be used, which prevents corrosion and makes an appearance good, by making the connecting fittings invisible from the outside, and the connecting fittings for the guard fence. SOLUTION: The connecting fittings 1 for the guard fence, and the guard fence constructed by using the connecting fittings serve as basic means. The connecting fitting 1 comprises: protrusive streaks 3 which are formed at both almost central ends of a flat plate-like base body 2; a wedge 4 which is positioned on the backside of a base body getting close to the protrusive streak, and which is protrusively provided in such a manner that a sharp part 4a is directed to a central part; and an extension part 2a which is horizontally elongated from the base body 2. A hole 5 for a flat-countersunk-head wood screw is formed in the base body 2, and a hole 6 for a coach screw and a slot 7 for a rasp-cut nut are formed in the extension part 2a of the base body 2.
