PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door check device capable of holding the half-opened state of a door at multistages. SOLUTION: A plurality of recessed sections 103g for a half-open engagement are formed between the place of an arm 103, where first and second shoes 122 are placed in the case of the full opening of the door and the place of the arm 103, where the first and second shoes 122 are placed in the case of the full closing of the door, and the half-opened state of the door is held at multistages. The recessed sections 103g for the half-open engagement may be formed between an approximately intermediate section in the longitudinal direction of the arm 103 and the place of the arm 103, where the first and second shoes 122 are placed in the case of the full opening of the door, or may be formed between the approximately intermediate section in the longitudinal direction of the arm 103 and the place of the arm 103, where the first and second shoes 122 are placed in the case of the full closing of the door.
