PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-calcined color pencil lead which has remarkably excellent water resistance without deteriorating writing touch and colorability. SOLUTION: This non-calcined color pencil lead comprising at least a colorant, an extender and a water-soluble binder is characterized by furthermore containing a water resistance-imparting material. It is desirable that the water resistance-imparting material is at least one selected from glyoxal, ethylenediamine, ammonium zirconium carbonate, melamine resins, epoxy resins, urea-formalin resin, melamine-formalin resin, and Al<SB>2</SB>(SO<SB>4</SB>)<SB>3</SB>.
