<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely manage an image formed from image data even if it is impossible to certify whether the image data are tampered, when forming the image from the image data with a digital signature. <P>SOLUTION: When receiving a request for formation of an image of image data with a digital signature from a personal computer 3, an image input/output apparatus 1 requests a digital signature authentication server 501 to certify the authenticity of the signature data.
