<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control device for remote operating a hot water supply apparatus, with a teletext receiving section, and to make a receiving display in a blinking form on a display screen of the remote control device during teletext reception. <P>SOLUTION: The channel selection of a teletext broadcasting station is specified by a teletext receiving operation part 44, and the teletext of the selected broadcasting station is received by the teletext receiving section 40. A receiving determining section 47 determines whether the teletext receiving section 40 could normally receive. A receiving situation display command section 54 detects the receiving situation of the teletext receiving section 40 and adds a display command which shows "under receiving" over a receiving period until the output of a determined result of the receiving determining section 47 from the start of receiving teletext.
