PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a call originating system for PBX extension telephone sets utilizing call register whereby a user of a PBX extension telephone set can correctly make a call by utilizing its call termination or call origination register without the need for the user to be aware of whether or not the user's telephone set acquires a trunk line. SOLUTION: A master apparatus 2 accommodates terminals (PBX extension telephone sets) 1 and exchange call termination and call origination through a public network 3. Each terminal 1 includes a call originating function of utilizing its call register. At the arrival of a call to one of the terminals 1, a memory 12 of the terminal 1 stores a trunk line access number indicating a trunk line at the call arrival together with a caller number informed by the public network 3. In the case of making a call by utilizing the call register, a control section 11 of the terminal 1 adds the trunk line access number to the top of the caller number called from the memory 12 and informs the master apparatus 2 about the resulting caller number depending on a state of the terminal.
