PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire PET images of approximately constant and satisfactory S/N ratios by preventing S/N ratios of images from varying at each position in the direction of movement of a subject when the subject is moved to pick up PET images in a wide range in the direction of its movement. SOLUTION: A detector 12 for emission data collection and a detector 13 for transmission data collection are adjacently arranged in a gantry 10. A spot-like external ray source 15 is rotated in a ring of the latter detector 13, and the subject 20 laid on a bed 21 is moved from the side of the latter detector 13 to the side of the former detector 12. Transmission data and emission single data are previously acquired by the latter detector 13. A CPU 44 makes reference to an optimal speed table 45 according to the data, controls a bed moving device 22 in such a way that data collection time by the former detector 12 may be optimal, and determines a moving speed of the subject 20 to the former detector 12.
