PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for connecting a glow plug to a lead wire that is configured to be able to securely connect the glow plug and the lead wire together at reduced cost for increased operability during the connection. SOLUTION: The glow plug has an externally threaded part 32 formed on a mid shaft 30 protruding toward the rear end of a main fitting 20. The mid shaft 30 is secured to the main fitting 20 with a round nut 40. A flat terminal 210 of the lead wire 200 that supplies electric power is clamped between the round nut 40 and a clamping nut 60 and connected thereto. The terminal abutting surface 42 of the round nut 40 which abuts the flat terminal 210 is made uneven to keep the flat terminal 210 from rotating during clamping of the clamping nut 60 so as to provide increased operability.
