PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic joining device and an ultrasonic joining method by which the high reliability of ultrasonic joining is always possible by changing working conditions when the ultrasonic joining is performed by taking the environment of a storage place of a workpiece into consideration. SOLUTION: This ultrasonic joining device is composed of a temperature detecting means for detecting the temperature of the storage place of the workpiece, a humidity detecting means for detecting the humidity of the storage place, a storing means for storing the temperature and humidity of the storage place during the storage of the workpiece and a working-condition operating means for operating the working conditions of the ultrasonic joining in the workpiece by taking the temperature and the humidity which are stored in the storing means into consideration.
