<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide capable of preventing permanent set of rubber of a fixed seal portion covering a metallic ring kept into contact with an end face of a base portion of the guide to prevent impairing of caulking force when the metallic ring is caulked and fixed by a flange portion of a fixing member, in the guide for fixing a seal device used in a shock absorber or the like. <P>SOLUTION: In this guide 5 for buffering, connected with a cylindrical portion 4a of the fixing member 4, having the base portion 51 formed integrally with a seal member 3, and kept into contact with the fixed seal portion 36 covering an inner end face 2c of the metallic ring 2, and axially holding and fixing the metallic ring 2 by the base portion 51 and the flange portion 4b formed by bending a terminal end of the cylindrical portion 4a for caulking and fixing, and kept into pressure-contact with an outer end face 2d of the metallic ring 2, a projection 55 is formed on an end face 54 of the base portion 51. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
