<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent color misalignment of a color print transferred to paper by a plurality of photoreceptor drums even in case where gears have an error in mesh. <P>SOLUTION: A drum drive mechanism 20 for rotating the photoreceptor drums 121 comprises: drum gears 50 (yellow drum gear 51, magenta drum gear 52, cyan drum gear 53 and black drum gear 54) of the identical shape, which are concentric with the corresponding photoreceptor drums 121 and integrally attached; and relay gears 40 (first and second relay gears 41 and 42) engaged with the adjacent corresponding drum gears 51 to 54 and rotated by the drive of a drive motor 30. The drum gears 51 to 54 are fitted such that specific reference teeth T1 of the identical shape mesh with the corresponding teeth of the first and second relay gears 41 and 42, which have the identical shape, in accordance with the rotation of the first and second relay gears 41 and 42. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
