<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for surely and safely detoxifying ammonia which is capable of conducting the neutralization by carbon dioxide that is safe in storing and maintenance and is inexpensive with a fast absorption reaction of ammonia and prevents the reaction of the reverse direction to generate ammonia upon decomposition of ammonium carbonate resulting in the neutralization. <P>SOLUTION: The ammonia detoxifying apparatus has an air inlet 2 and an air exit 3, being provided with a water reception tank 4 at the bottom part in a casing 1 in which air to be treated containing ammonia is circulated from the lower part to the upper part, having water sending circuits 7, 8, 9 to sprinkle the water in the water reception tank and recover the water which has been contacted with the air to be treated by dropping, being provided with carbon dioxide supply circuits 11, 12, 13, 14 to jet carbon dioxide into the casing and being provided with cooling circuits 16, 17. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
