PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element having reverse tapered partition walls excellent in water repellent, solvent repellent, heat resistance, and adhesiveness to substrate and having at least one layer formed by wet coating among laminated organic layers and a method of manufacturing the organic electroluminescent element. SOLUTION: A plurality of first electrodes 12, the plurality of partition walls 16 crossing perpendicular to the first electrodes 12, the organic layers 18, and and second electrodes 20 are formed on the substrate 10.
