PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire retardant sleeve for a cable with an insulation cover layer automatically equalizing the length of a conductor of wires at a left side and a right side to be connected, with leakage prevention effect of a compound outside of the sleeve heightened, and with a high waterproof property of the sleeve at use. SOLUTION: As an insulation cover layer 7 covering a sleeve main body 3 of the sleeve for the cable with the insulation cover layer 10 is composed of a fire retardant raw material, the sleeve main body is hardly burned and safety can be heightened. Since a separation wall is arranged at the middle part in longitudinal direction of the cylindrical sleeve main body 3, the length of a conductor of wires at left side and right side to be connected can be automatically equalized. Further, since a ring-shaped protrusion 5 is formed on an inner peripheral wall of a through-hole 4 of each of both waterproof rubber members 6, the prevention effect of leakage of a compound 2 outside of the sleeve is heightened at compression of the latter, and waterproof property of the sleeve 10 at use is heightened.
