PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously realize to increase a display screen in size and to expand functions by using a keyboard operation in a digital camera. SOLUTION: The digital camera is provided with: a liquid crystal 17 provided on the back surface of a main body 10; lid 14 provided freely openably/closably so as to cover the liquid crystal 17; window 16 provided on the lid 14 so that a part of the display screen of the liquid crystal 17 is observed when the lid 14 is closed; keyboard 18 arranged on the surface of the main body 10 side of the lid 14; detecting switch for detecting the opened or closed state of the lid 14; and CPU 29 for controlling and displaying the whole display screen of the liquid crystal 17 as a display region, when the detecting switch detects the opened state of the lid 14, and controlling and displaying the display region, on the display screen of the liquid crystal 17 in accordance with the size of the window 16 provided on the lid 14, when the detecting switch detects the closed state of the lid 14.
