PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door lock device for an automatic vending machine, capable of sufficiently resisting even illegal theft action using a tool such as an electric drill or picking, with high crime preventiveness, without impairing appearance by attaching a lock member like a conventional external lock method. SOLUTION: This door lock device for the automatic vending machine is equipped with a vertical slide type lock plate 13, a door lock lever 12 connected to the lock plate, and a cylinder lock 11 locking the lock plate to a lock position, in an outer door 2, engages the lock plate with a latch 14 provided in a main body cabinet, and locks the cylinder lock by a key 7 to lock the outer door to a closing position. In the door lock device, a window hole 8 serving as a handle, and allowing insertion of fingertips is opened in a door plate of the outer door, a pocket-like recessed place 10 wherein the circumference is partitioned by a partition wall 9 is formed in the rear thereof such that it embraces the window hole, and a partition wall side face inside the recessed place is laterally installed with the cylinder lock and an operation end of the door lock lever.
