<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device equipped with an electromagnetic wave shielding structure which certainly prevents electromagnetic interference caused by a light source without raising its cost and which is not disadvantageous in the case of being made small in size and low in profile. <P>SOLUTION: A light reflection sheet, which is disposed on the rear face of a light guide plate 13 in a side-light type backlight unit 12, is constructed as a double layered sheet composed of a conductive sheet 15a and a light scattering reflection sheet 15b laminated with each other so as to form a light reflection conductive sheet 15 doing double duties of the light reflection sheet and the electromagnetic wave shielding sheet. An edge portion of the light reflection conductive sheet 15 is infolded with a U shape so as to surround a cold cathode tube 14a arranged along an end face of the light guide plate 13. Also a light cover 17 of a shield member is mounted in a redundant space inside a main frame 18 so as to make its side plate 17b intervene between the main frame 18 and the U shaped edge portion of the light reflection conductive sheet 15, and to make it doubly shield the cold cathode tube 14a together with the U shaped edge portion of the light reflection conductive sheet 15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
