PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate drift included in cylinder pressure of an engine. SOLUTION: A cylinder pressure detecting device comprises: a cylinder pressure sensor outputting a signal depending on a change rate of the cylinder pressure of the engine; a filtering device filtering an output signal from the cylinder pressure sensor so that a frequency component lower than a frequency substantially constituting the cylinder pressure required for controlling the engine is cut from the output signal of the cylinder pressure sensor; an integrating device integrating the output signal of the cylinder pressure sensor which has been filtered by the filtering device and calculating the cylinder pressure signal. Preferably, the frequency component lower than the frequency component substantially constituting the cylinder pressure required for controlling the engine and constituting the drift included in the output signal of the cylinder pressure sensor is cut by the filtering device.
