PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side-corridor-type apartment house which allows an selection of a vertical living plan and a horizontal living plan for internal dwelling units in the same section in the apartment house. SOLUTION: Each of an internal living unit 1a adopting the horizontal living plan and an internal living unit 1b adopting the vertical living plan has a double floor 6 having an under floor space, which floor 6 is located to be separated from a balcony 2 across a living 4a or 4b and is structured to traverse the internal living unit 1a or 1b, and a pipe space 7 which penetrates each internal living unit 1a, 1b in the same section to pass through the double floor 6 in vertical linear extension.
