<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means capable of further enhancing catalytic activity under a low temperature condition and/or a high spatial speed condition in a CO selective oxidation catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: The CO selective oxidation catalyst for selectively oxidizing carbon monoxide in a gas containing carbon monoxide and oxygen contains both of a platinum-containing catalyst powder which is obtained by supporting platinum particles containing a platinum atom and transition metal particles, which contain a transition metal atom selected from the group consisting of cobalt, manganese, nickel, copper and iron, on a first inorganic carrier and a promoter powder, which is obtained by supporting promoter particles containing a promoter atom selected from the group consisting of cobalt, manganese, nickel and copper, on a second inorganic carrier and substantially contains no platinum atom. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
